A Pair of Brass Fire Dogs. Each fire dog with with a copper reeded finial, above the rounded spires, topping copper reeded vases, resting on ring socles, and square chamfer edged plinths faced by reeded paterae. The scrolling legs sweeping to fanned pad feet, and centred by copper spreading reeded leaf. The returns and rear supports repeating the form of the front. Height 17 inches, 43cm. Width 8 inches, 20cm. Depth 9 inches, 23cm. Date circa 1870Ref: 22637
