A 19th Century Brass and Ormolu Lamp Base. The lamp with a square cap, above the square column, with a rising and scrolling leaf capital, above the fielding panels, filled with chased leaves and berries, against a chased ground. The base of the panels with rising entwined leaves, the column resting on an ogee profile socle decorated with falling and overlapping leaves, before the square plinth. Heavy and good quality. Requires re wiring (which we can arrange). Date circa 1870. Height to cap 17 inches, 43cm. Width 5 1/2 inches, 14cm. Depth 5 1/2inches, 14cm.Ref: 23153
