A Set of Six Regency Chairs. The simulated rosewood and gilt chairs with rounded and dished back rest, with rosette centres and inward facing anthemion, within gilt borders. The supports joined by a mid level stretcher, as the supports sweep to the seat rails, continuing to the tapering sabre legs. The whole decorated with gilt line banding, the front rail banding centred by a Greek key tablet. The chairs with bergere seats. Date circa 1820. Height 33 inches, 84cm. Width 18 1/2, 47cm.
